Here at Lancaster Toyota, we’ve been patiently but anxiously awaiting the debut of the all-new 2016 Toyota Tacoma, which is set for next month’s 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Well, Toyota has tossed us a bone (albeit a small one) by releasing a new Toyota Tacoma teaser photo ahead of the official unveiling in January.
The picture only shows the left rear end of the truck… and all of the mud that it’s plowing through. Still, it’s clear from the image that the new model offers a more aggressive design (there are more lines and the “TACOMA” logo is bolder), and the muddy setting of the photo highlights the new Tacoma’s capabilities.
“Tacoma is more important than the sum of its sales,” Robert S. Carter, Toyota Motor Sales USA senior vice president told The Detroit News. “It has very dominant imagery: rugged, tough, youthful. That’s what that truck represents.”
Stay tuned to our blog for more images and details, which will be rolling out next month at the Detroit Auto Show.
